What is Digital Literacy and why is it important?
The American Library Association’s digital-literacy task force offers this definition: “Digital literacy is the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills.”
Digital Literacy is important for students to learn information inside and outside the classroom. It provides several ways for children to develop higher order thinking skills and its crucial to becoming lifelong learners.
